Change of Plan

So I haven’t posted for a while and there is a reason for that. Some of you may have noticed the change of name and title. I have changed direction with my business idea and I am now focussing on Social Media Management & Consultancy. It made sense to do this because I had always focussed my business coaching idea around Social Media anyway and after doing some research I seen that there was a bigger market for it.

A lot of small business don’t use Social Media to market their business and products, in fact only 13% of small businesses have a Facebook page. That is shocking! And the businesses that do use Social Media don’t use it as they should, they don’t use it as a marketing tool and they think that just by having a Facebook Page or a Twitter account that people will find them. They don’t put the time and energy into Social Media as they should be doing and that is not their fault. Simply, they just might not have time for it because they aren’t seeing the benefits that it could have but Social Media is just like all other marketing, you get out of it what you put into it. So if you aren’t posting consistently and engaging with your audience then you aren’t going to get much out of it.

So I now have a mission, and that is to get small businesses in the same league as the big boys, the Nikes and the Topshops and the Kylie Jenners of this world. I know you probably all laughed at that but hold on a second, would we be as obsessed with Kylie Jenner as most of us are if it wasn’t for Social Media, probably not. Whenever we go onto Facebook or Instagram she is there in our faces making us all wish we were her. Yes ok, she has more money to put into her marketing but 10 years ago if you didn’t have a huge marketing budget then you would rely on posters in your shop window or something else that would catch the eye of passers by hoping that they would come into your shop, you could only reach the people who were walking past while the big boys could reach people watching TV in the comfort of their own home. Now, small businesses have the same opportunity to reach the same amount of people as they do without a huge budget. All you need is a good Social Media Strategy that is consistent and engaging for your audience and will create brand awareness.

It is all about the brand. How many people have become InstaFamous over the last few years? Too many. That is because they create a brand for themselves that people connect with, people want to see what they are going to post next, they appear that they are living a life that their followers want to live, making people connect with them on an emotional level and making them want more. You can do that too, you can connect with your audience on an emotional level and make them want to see more and want what you are selling. It doesn’t happen over night and it takes a lot of patience but if you are consistent and engaging then you can make it happen because you now have the same potential audience as everyone else does so why not make the most of it and start building your brand and get yourself recognised.

So, if you’re ready up your Social Media game and get recognised and grow your business then have a look at my packages, they range from full management services – leaving you with the time to concentrate on your business – to consultancy and training packages – giving you the tools to win at Social Media.
